Playford College was delighted to welcome Olympian Brittany Elmslie to our school yesterday. At an assembly for our Year 3-6 students, Brittany described her childhood dream of being an Olympian and her journey to fulfil that dream. She spoke about having a growth mindset, setting goals and asking for help as a sign of strength. Primary students discovered how heavy her medals were when Brittany went to many classes to answer questions and show her medals. Children rarely have an opportunity to meet a famous sportsperson who has won Olympic Gold medals so we are grateful to Mr Caruana for organising this champion swimmer.
