A top day!
Every day is a good day at Playford College but Monday 30th August was great!
We are combining Book Week and Science Week and many activities were appreciated by the students.
– Our Mayor, Glenn Docherty, read to some of our Junior Primary students prior to visiting our new Secondary building.
– Two Adelaide authors, Allan Packer and Deborah Grace White, read to many classes. Deborah also conducted two writer’s workshops for Upper Primary and Secondary talented young writers.
– Board members and Playford leaders attended a site meeting and were informed that the Secondary building is proceeding well and we still plan to have our students enjoying the new facilities in Term 4.
– Our resident scientists, Mr Fitzgerald and Mrs Van Aardt, created two fun and engaging assemblies for our students as a focus for Science Week. Don’t forget to ask your children about the experiments.
– The staff appreciate the older students sharing stories with the younger students during Book Week.
We are expecting other great days this week.
