Dear parents

I am enjoying my time at Playford College and am looking forward to my remaining
76 days. As the Acting Principal it has been pleasing to be part of a unique school which is amazing after only 19 months since inception with complementary Australian and Illumination curriculum programmes. I acknowledge the dedication of the Staff and Board with such progress.

In The Advertiser this Saturday will be an advertisement for a permanent Principal who will serve the community for many years to come. I have offered to assist with this important process with finding the right person.
With our expected growth in student numbers we will also be advertising for teachers to commence in 2019. If you know of teachers who may be interested please alert them.

I congratulate Sheikh and the Illumination staff who have facilitated a spiritual and deeply meaningful Hajj Camp. Students have been engaged, prayerful and enlightened. The support of class and specialist teachers staying overnight is generous and appreciated. I am sure some students will enjoy more sleep tonight.

Next week promises to be another fun week of learning and I am sure the Book Week Parade on Friday morning will be a highlight. Parents and friends are welcome to join with us in the Assembly Hall at 9:45am.

A reminder that Wednesday is student free due to EID Al-Ghadir. On this religious holiday Playford College is closed.

I spoke to all the older students about appropriate behaviour on the bus so that drivers can concentrate on driving safely. Please remind your children if they catch a school bus.
